Quincy University Hawks

2024-25 (Junior): Danso appeared and started in all 33 games for the Hawks, where she averaged 8.1 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 1.2 assists. She also made an impact defensively, averaging 1.1 steals per game, and led the team with 32 blocks (1.0 per game). Chomp led the team with a .566 field goal percentage (107-189) and was efficient from the line, shooting .768 percent (53-69). On the season, Danso led the team in steals 10 different times throughout the season and blocks 15 different times.

2023-24 (Sophomore): Started in all but one game for the Hawks, scoring an average 8.8 points a game and 7.9 rebounds a game. Ranked 2nd in the GLVC for offensive rebounds (93) and eighth for rebounds per game. Posted a .548 field goal percentage throughout the season and totaled 44 blocks and 21 steals for the Hawks.

2022-23 (Freshman): Started in two games, appearing in 25 for the Hawks with an average 11 minutes a game. Posted a .521 field goal percent with 77 total rebounds, nine blocks, and seven steals.

Personal: Acheampomaa “Chomp” comes from Simley High School in Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota, where she was a five-year letter winner in basketball. A 1,000-point scorer, she averaged 13.9 points and eight rebounds per game during her junior season. She is a two-time All-Conference selection, an All-State Honorable Mention, and was ranked the No. 32 player in Minnesota by Prep Girls Hoops. Chomp helped lead her high school team to a third-place state finish in 2020, while also contributing to two conference championships and two AAU summer state titles. In addition to basketball, she was a three-year letter winner in volleyball. Off the court, she is the daughter of Fransica Akoto Danso and has two siblings, Jonna and Tiwaah. Her sister, Tiwaah, played college basketball for the Bradley University Braves.
