INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Great Lakes Valley Conference announced Monday that Quincy University's
Malachi Allen has been named GLVC Offensive Player of the Week following a dominant performance in the Hawks' two-match sweep of Kentucky State.
In Quincy's first season competing in the GLVC, Allen becomes the first Hawk in program history to earn the conference's Offensive Player of the Week distinction.
Allen totaled 19 kills (3.17 per set) while posting an impressive .457 hitting percentage with just three errors. He impacted the match in multiple phases, recording seven service aces (1.14 per set), four blocks, and four digs to help lead the Hawks to a pair of decisive victories.
Allen and the Hawks return to action Thursday, February 26, when they travel to Miami Shores, Florida, to face Barry University. First serve is scheduled for 7:00 PM CT.
