INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Great Lakes Valley Conference released its women's lacrosse preseason coaches poll on Thursday, with Quincy University selected tied for sixth place after totaling 17 points.

The Hawks enter their seventh season as a program and begin a new era under first-year head coach
Abbie Belknap. Belknap steps into the role after serving as an assistant at Quincy for the past two seasons, giving her familiarity with both the roster and the program. Quincy finished the 2025 season with an 8-8 overall record and a 2-5 mark in GLVC play.
Quincy returns a majority of its roster from last season, including its top four point scorers in
Amelia Ham,
Anni Moran,
Alaina Wilkinson, and
Emily Leal. On the defensive end, the Hawks welcome back
Madison Whiting Wagner, who started all 16 games in goal last season, along with key returners
Mikenna Ham and
Chloe Drago.
Overall, 13 of the 16 players who saw action in 2025 return for the 2026 campaign, joined by a group of newcomers expected to make an immediate impact as the program looks to take its next step forward.
The Hawks open the 2026 season with an early test, hosting Rockhurst in a non-conference matchup at QU Stadium on Sunday, February 8.
