Kathlene Kim Steps Down as Quincy Women's Lacrosse Head Coach

QUINCY, Ill. – Quincy University announced that Kathlene Kim has stepped down as head coach of the women's lacrosse program after six seasons.

Kim was hired in 2018 as the program's first head coach and guided the Hawks through their inaugural season in 2020. Over her six years, she compiled a 32-55 overall record while leading the program through several key milestones.

In 2024, Kim's team earned the program's first-ever GLVC Tournament appearance, finishing with a program record of eight wins. The Hawks matched that total again in 2025, marking the most successful stretch in the program's short history.

During her tenure, Kim coached players to multiple athletic and academic awards, helping establish a culture of success on and off the field. She leaves the program in a strong position, with a solid foundation built for the future.

A search for the next head coach will begin immediately.
