Men's Soccer Picked 11th in Preseason Poll

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) released its 2025 men's soccer preseason coaches' poll on Tuesday, with Lewis voted as the league favorite. Quincy was slotted 11th in the poll as the Hawks prepare for the upcoming season under longtime head coach Mike Carpenter, who enters his 14th year at the helm.

Carpenter's squad brings back a wealth of experience in 2025, with 25 letterwinners returning to the roster. The Hawks also welcome a strong group of newcomers, including 12 freshmen and eight transfers, giving the team added depth and competition across the pitch.

Lewis earned the top spot in the poll with seven first-place votes and 186 points after winning both the GLVC regular-season and tournament titles last fall. McKendree (184) and Maryville (168) followed closely behind, while Indianapolis (167) rounded out the top four.

Quincy earned 59 points, placing just behind Missouri S&T (87) and ahead of Truman State (56), William Jewell (41), Upper Iowa (38), and Southwest Baptist (18).
