Lebanon, Ill. - The Quincy University men's soccer team faced the #14 McKendree Bearcats on Friday night (Nov. 1). The Hawks stayed strong against a tough Bearcats team, only falling 2-0.
Quincy kept McKendree offense at bay for the majority of the first half, blocking many of the shots the Bearcats ripped. The Bearcats slipped one past
George Roke for their first goal of the evening on a free kick header.
The Hawks had two opportunities to score get one in during the second half.
Leo Harbottle had a mishit off a corner kick after a frenzy of Bearcats shots and
Carlos Moreno Henao missed a shot over the top woodwork shortly before the Bearcats put another goal on the board.
Roke had two saves in the contest.
The Hawks look to finish the regular season on a high note at #24 Maryville on Sunday.
