QUINCY, Ill. - Quincy University forward
Rebecca Rheinheimer added another major accolade to her standout season on Wednesday, earning a spot on the D2CCA All-Midwest Region First Team. She was one of 11 GLVC women's soccer players to collect first- or second-team recognition, as nominated and selected by sports information directors across the Midwest.
Rheinheimer put together a terrific campaign in 2025, playing a central role in Quincy's resurgence. The Hawks reached double-digit wins for the first time since 2018, earned their first GLVC Tournament berth since 2020-21, and hosted a conference playoff match for the first time in six years. Rheinheimer's offensive production was at the heart of that turnaround.
The junior forward led Quincy in nearly every major attacking category, finishing the year with 10 goals, four assists, and 24 total points. She delivered in the biggest moments as well, tallying five game-winning goals and consistently shifting momentum in Quincy's favor. During the season, she also surpassed 100 career points, combining her season at QU with her early collegiate success at St. Louis Community College.
With her first-team selection, Rheinheimer now advances to the national ballot for All-America consideration, joining the other 12 first-team honorees from across the Midwest Region.
