LEMONT, Ill. – The Quincy University men's golf team turned in another strong performance this week, finishing fourth out of 15 teams at the Flyers Fall Intercollegiate, hosted at Cog Hill Golf and Country Club on October 6–7. The Hawks posted rounds of 307, 312, and 309 for a three-round total of 928 (+64).

Griffin Taylor led the way for Quincy with back-to-back 76s before closing strong with a 74 on the final day. Highlighted by five birdies and eight pars in his last round, Taylor secured a sixth-place finish individually at 10-over-par (226).

David Gartrell opened the tournament with the Hawks' lowest round of the week, firing a 74 behind 11 pars and three birdies. He followed with rounds of 79 and 81 to finish in a tie for 17th place at 234. Glenn Sutton matched Gartrell in 17th after carding 78-80-76 across his three rounds, with his final-round 76 being the Hawks' second-lowest score on day two.

Jack Driscoll showed consistency with a 79 in the first round and a 77 in round two, which included five birdies and six pars. He closed with an 80 to place 26th overall at 236. Blake Arnold rounded out the Hawks' lineup, shooting 79-83-79 to finish tied for 42nd at 241.

Quincy's team score of 928 put them just eight strokes behind third-place Kirkwood CC (923) and within striking distance of second-place Trine (916). UW–Parkside claimed the team title with a score of 900.

The Hawks will wrap up their fall season on October 20–21 when they travel to Caseyville, Illinois, to compete in the Bearcat Dual Gender at Far Oaks Golf Club.
