Belton, Mo. - The Quincy University men's bowling team traveled to Belton, Missouri, this weekend (Jan. 25-26) for the Avila Eagle Invitational tournament. Saturday featured individual play with
Nathan Massey leading the pack with a 228 average. The Hawks finished 6th out of 14 teams on Saturday and finished 2nd out of 14 on Sunday during team play.
Massey led the field with a 228 average on Saturday, earning himself the Tournament MVP honor as well.
Anthony Lundy also earned a spot on the All-Tournament team on Saturday with a fifth place finish and a 217 average pin drop.
Zakery Grosvenor placed 8th overall with a 212 average on the day, rounding out the Hawks' appearances in the top-10.
Thomas McMahon stayed in range with his teammates on Saturday with a 200 average, good for 27th place on the weekend.
On Sunday, the men played team games and found themselves second place overall.
The Hawks JV squad placed first of nine teams on Saturday and fourth come team play on Sunday.
The Hawks have a bit of a break before competing at the USBC Sectionals in Addison, Illinois, March 7th-9th.
