Addison, Ill. - The Quincy University men's bowling team continued their success into the new year with a 13th place finish at the Kegel ISBPA Midwest Collegiate Classic. The Hawks' finish is the best the team has done at the Kegel Classic and the Hawks moved up ten spots from last year's performance.
Anthony Lundy was the top Hawk of the weekend, breaking through the Top 25 with a 24th place finish averaging 220 pins over five games.
Connor Meegan and
Zakery Grosvenor finished 43rd and 45th on a one-pin difference. Meegan bowled a 1,074 total score while Grosvenor was a pin shy at 1,073 over five games.
The Hawks had two in the middle of the field of bowlers in
Cayden Thoms and
Caden Witt. Thoms bowled a 183 average over three games and Witt was one pin-per-game behind at a 182 average.
The Hawks rounded out the weekend with a 5,712 team pinfall and a 3,316 Bakers score, good for 13th place among 56 teams.
Quincy has a quick turnaround, and the Hawks will be headed to the Eagle Invitational this coming weekend, January 24th and 25th in Belton, Missouri.
