West Lafayette, Ind. - The Quincy University men's bowling team traveled to Indiana for a two-day event at Purdue University this weekend (Oct. 26-27). In the first round of play, the Hawks finished third behind Marian University and Purdue University. During the Baker competition on Sunday, the Hawks placed seventh.
Tyler Wojcik had the top score for the Hawks in match play with 1,087 total pin fall over five games.
Anthony Lundy finished in the top-25 with a 203 average in five games.
Zakery Grosvenor finished close behind
Cayden Thoms with a 198 average pin drop on five games. Thoms finished three pins shy of 1,000 pins for the day.
Connor Meegan and
Caden Witt split the day with Meegan going an average 221 over three games and Witt finishing with 361 total pins over two games.
On Sunday, the Hawks competed in the Boilermaker Baker Shootout where they finished with 4,704 total pins for an average of 940 pins per game.
The Hawks have a quick turnaround and will head to St. Charles, Missouri, next weekend for the Lions Match Play Classic.
