Kirksville, Mo. – The Quincy University women's soccer team traveled to Truman State University on Friday (Sept. 22). The Hawks looked to bounce back after a tough loss to Maryville on Sunday, but fell 3-0 to the Bulldogs.
 
The Hawks' offense worked throughout the game, putting up 20 total shots against the Bulldogs. It looked promising when the Hawks had three bursts of shots in the first half, but they could not find the back of the net.
 
The Bulldogs changed the game with a volley to the left upper-ninety just 14 minutes into the game. Quincy held the Bulldogs off until the second half, where a tap-in off a deep free kick sealed the deal. The Bulldogs found the net once more off a penalty kick, sending the Hawks back to Quincy with another loss.
 
Freshman Eva Norris got the start in goal for the Hawks Friday afternoon and produced two saves.
 
The Hawks will travel to Fayette, Iowa, for a match against the newly-inducted GLVC member Upper Iowa University. This will be the first meeting between the teams.
