Romeoville, Ill. – The Quincy University men's lacrosse team lost in a high scoring match (19-10) against the Lewis Flyers on Saturday (Apr. 15).
The Flyers started the game hot with five unanswered goals.
Donald Griffith broke the streak at the end of the first quarter to put the Hawks on the board.
The second quarter was more promising for the Hawks offense as three Hawks scored four goals.
Caidyn Prediger found
Jordan Ernst to start the first goal for the quarter. Just over a minute later
Jayme Brain found the back of the net.
Blaine Lowrance found the net while man-down to make the score 4-9. Lowrance ended the quarter with another goal, assisted by
Jayme Brain.
Jordan Ernst scored two more goals in the third quarter, the first on a man-up opportunity.
Donald Griffith,
Jayme Brain, and
Christian Czarny each scored a goal for the Hawks in the fourth quarter, but it could not match the Flyers' strong attack.
Ryan Riggs started in goal for the Hawks and made 13 saves in the contest.
The Hawks play back at home Saturday, April 22
nd against Davenport University. The game will begin at 1 p.m.
