Biography

2024 (Senior): In his final season with the Hawks, Ryan totaled 197 saves across 14 games and had a save percentage of .525. He was tied for first in the GLVC with 14.07 saves per game and totaled five wins on the year.

2023 (Junior): For the second consecutive season, Riggs led the GLVC in saves per game (14.53) and total saves (247) across 17 games played. Ryan totaled over 977 minutes in goal and was the cornerstone behind a record-setting eight-win season. He had a GAA of 12.58 and a save percentage of .546, which ranked third in the GLVC.

2022 (Sophomore): As a sophomore, Riggs led the GLVC with 188 total saves across 617 minutes in goal, with a GLVC-best 14.46 saves per game. He was also third in the GLVC with a save percentage of .584. He picked up his first career win as a goalie with a 9-7 win over Benedictine College (2/16/22), where he had 14 saves and a .667 save percentage.

2021 (Freshman): In his first season with the Hawks, Riggs split time as the goalkeeper, totaling 300 minutes across six games. He made his collegiate debut against Rockhurst (2/19/21), where he recorded 11 saves. On the season, Ryan recorded 69 saves and had a .493 save percentage.

Personal: Ryan Riggs hails from Burlington, Washington, and attended Burlington-Edison High School, where he starred for the Tigers. A standout goalkeeper, Ryan was named a U.S. All-American in 2019 and earned All-Northwest honors in both 2018 and 2019, along with All-State recognition in 2019. He played a crucial role in leading his team to the Class 2A State Championship in 2018, recording an impressive 24 saves in the title game. Outside of athletics, Ryan enjoys fishing, hiking, camping, and mountain biking.
