QUINCY, Ill. – The men's volleyball kicked off a four-game home stand with the Ohio State University Buckeyes in town for a MIVA showdown. The Buckeyes would come away with the win in straight sets (25-16, 25-26, 25-19).
The Hawks were led by Raje Alleyne who registered 8 kills on 23 attempts for a .174 attack percentage. The Barbados native also collected two blocks and 3 digs to lead QU. Roman Deryckere and Keegan Carey both had two service aces.
As a team, the Hawks struggled to hit .061 for the match with 20 kills on 66 attempts, but also recorded 16 errors. Meanwhile, the Buckeyes hit .476 with 40 kills on 63 attempts.
QU will continue MIVA play on Saturday, February 25th at 5:00 p.m. with the Ball State University Cardinals coming to Pepsi Arena.
