CANTON, Oh.- The Quincy University Men's Lacrosse team traveled to Canton Ohio to play against the Malone University Pioneers on Saturday (Feb 18th). The Hawks offense exploded for 17 goals as they beat the Pioneers 17-11.

Malone University would score the first goal of the match, but less than one minute later Jordan Ernst would score and tie the game back up at 1-1. Connor Nock would give QU their first lead of the game with 10 minutes remaining in the first quarter. Quincy would score three more goals before the end of the first quarter as they take a 5-4 lead into the second quarter.

After the Pioneers tie the game at 5-5, Jordan Ernst would score his third goal of the match at the 7 minute mark in the second quarter to give Quincy the lead again. Malone University would once again tie the game up but Caidyn Prediger would score a goal with 3 minutes left in the half to give Quincy a 7-6 lead heading into halftime. 

Jayme Brain would score back-to-back goals to start of the second half of the game giving the Hawks a 9-6 lead. The Pioneers would cut the Hawks lead down to 2 points but Quincy's offense was too much to handle as they would end up scoring 7 goals in the third quarter and 3 in the fourth quarter to give them the win 17-11. 

Quincy will be back at home on Wednesday, March 1st to host Monmouth College for a 6:00 pm start.
