WINTER PARK, Fla. – The Hawks were looking to take the momentum from game one's win in the middle game of the series for Rollins College on Friday, February 17
th. The Tars offense struck early and often as they defeated the Hawks by the score of 9-3.
The Tars struck for four runs in the bottom half of the first inning. They started the scoring with an RBI triple to right field. The next batter due up hit a single up the middle to make it 2-0. RC also used the long ball as they hit a 2-run home run to make it 4-0.
They added two more runs in the 2
nd inning on a double and a single. The Tars lead ballooned to eight runs in the bottom of the 4
th on back-to-back RBI hits.
The Hawks finally got on the board in the top of the 5
th with a sac fly by 
Zach Parks that scored 
Brock Boynton to make it 8-1.
Parks would hit his 2
nd sac fly of the afternoon in the top of the 7
th that saw 
Dustin Dupont come home to score to make it 8-2. The Tars answered right back with a leadoff home run in the bottom of the 7
th that made it 9-2.
The final run of the game came via a 
Nolan Wosman RBI double to center field to score 
Lance Logsdon to make it 9-3.
Starting pitcher 
Jay Hammel fell to 0-2 on the young season as he went 1.1 innings, giving up 7 hits, 6 runs and striking out one.
