Hawks get set to hit the road to open the GLVC tournament vs Truman State

QUINCY, IL – Postseason time has arrived in the GLVC. Tonight (February 28th) is the opening round of the GLVC Women's Basketball tournament. This year due to COVID-19 postponements all 15 teams make the tournament, with the top seed based of the league's Point Rating System getting a bye to the Vadalabene Center on the campus of SIU-Edwardsville. The quarterfinal games will take place on March 3rd and 4th, with the semi-finals on March 5th and the conference championship on March 6th.

The Quincy University women (9-19, 5-14 GLVC), which earned the 13th seed, open the GLVC tournament with a trip to Kirksville, MO tonight to take on the 4 seeded Truman State Bulldogs (17-10, 13-6 GLVC). This will be the third meeting between the rivals this year with the Bulldogs taking both games. In the first game at Pepsi Arena, TSU was victorious by the score of 68-59 back on January 4th. Then on February 10th at Pershing Arena, TSU took that contest at 58-48.
