INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Despite outscoring the No. 20 University of Indianapolis Greyhounds 28-10 in the 2
nd half, the Hawks fell on the road by the score of 52-38. The Hawks outgained the Greyhounds 542 to 508.
Just 5 minutes into the game, the Hawks saw themselves facing a 14-0 deficit after the Greyhounds took advantage of two Hawk turnovers. UINDY needed just a combined 7 plays and two and a half minutes of possession for those touchdowns. The Hawks got on the board late in the first quarter as
Drew Lenzen hit a 20 yard field goal on an 8 play, 71 yard drive.
Unfortunately, the Greyhounds made it a three possession game as they returned the ensuing kickoff 88 yards for a touchdown. As the Hawks got the ball back,
Hans Wisnewski would recover a fumble and dive into the end zone to make it a 21-10 ball game. The rest of the first half was all UINDY, all the time as they extended their lead out to 42-10.
The lone scoring drive of the 3
rd quarter was a
Tionne Harris pass to Wisnewski from 24 yards out. That drive went 4 plays, 75 yards in 58 seconds as the Hawks started to claw their way back into the game.
After the Greyhounds kicked a 37 yard field goal to start the 4
th quarter, comeback mode was engaged for the Hawks. With 13:23 left in the quarter, Harris found Wisnewski to make it 45-24 on a 75 yard drive that took 1:33 off the clock. The Hawks forced a 3 and out for UINDY and got back to business on their own 46 with 11:56 left. In a little under 2 minutes, Harris found
Angel Ruiz for a 7 yard touchdown pass to make it a two score game. Just 40 seconds later,
Jackson Connell picked off the Greyhound pass and it took in for the score for the 27 yard interception return.
Down 45-38, Harris would throw an interception in the red zone to give the Greyhounds the ball back. UINDY would score on that drive to go up 52-38.

Andrew Rund who threw for 486 in 2019. He also jumped into sole possession of 3
rd all-time for career passing yards with 5,571, just 11 yards shy of Rund who sits in 2
nd.
With three games left in the regular season, Harris has thrown for 2,347 yards and sits in fifth for single season passing yards. He has also thrown 20 touchdowns which is currently 5
th most in a season.
Paul Sullivan Jr. caught 12 passes which ties him with 4 other receivers for 3
rd in single game catches.
Peyten Chappel is now tied for 3
rd in career assisted tackles with 148.
