ST. LOUIS, MO. – The Quincy University tennis teams traveled down to the University of Missouri-St. Louis on Sunday and fell 5-2 on the women's side and 6-1 on the men's front. 

Laila Leist-Alston and Steffi Lao picked up the singles victories for the Lady Hawks. Leist-Alston won the number ones match 6-4, 6-4, and Steffi Lao went three sets in her number two's match. Lao won 6-3, 3-6, 6-2 to pick up her fourth singles win of the spring and her third in a row. 

Erik Weiler got the lone singles win for the Hawks this past weekend. Weiler won in the number two slot 6-4, 6-4 for his fifth singles win of the season. The pairing of Luca Cantale and Samuele Contestabile picked up a hard-fought win in doubles, 7-6. 

Both teams will be facing off with William Jewell this Friday (April 16) at Reservoir Park.
