Personal: Lao is from Chicago, Illinois, where she attended Von Steuben High School. She is the daughter of Marites and Rex Lao and the sister of Nicole, who also competed for QU women's tennis. During her time as a Panther, she was a part of a 2A IHSA State Championship team and earned a 3rd place finish at the Chicago City Championships in 2018.
Why QU?
I chose QU because I really like the campus, and it gave me the opportunity to play tennis at the next level.
