Knoblauch Tabbed GLVC Offensive Player of the Week For Second Time This Season

INDIANAPOLIS, IN. - For the second time this season, and for the third time in her career, Makayla Knoblauch was named the GLVC Offensive Player of the Week in women's volleyball. 

Knoblauch did it all during an undefeated week where the Hawks swept Truman State on Wednesday (Nov. 10) then defeated Lindenwood in five sets on Saturday (Nov. 13). The junior setter from Leo, Indiana racked up 76 assists in eight sets played (9.5 assists per set), 12 kills on 15 attempts (.800 hitting percentage), and snuck in three service aces. 

She also contributed on the defensive end after recording a pair of double-doubles in assists and digs. She had a total of 33 digs on the week with 14 against Truman and 19 against Lindenwood. Knoblauch also assisted on three blocks at the net. 

The Indiana State transfer is currently second in the conference in assists per set (10.51) and sixth in total assists (925). 

QU's last GLVC Player of the Week award went to Knoblauch on October 18th of this year.
