Hawks Wrap Up Play at the Lewis Flyer Intercollegiate

ROMEOVILLE, Ill. – The Quincy University men's golf team finished up the final day at the Lewis Flyer Intercollegiate with an 11th place finish out of 13 teams. Nick Messinger led QU with a final stroke count of 239 during the three-round event. The Hawks finished with a total stroke count of 1007. 

Valparaiso University won the event with a final team score of 880, and Valpo's Garrett Willis turned in the best individual three-round score of 215.

Messinger finished in 30th out of over 70 golfers to pace Quincy. The Hawks did improve their team score in the final round. QU shot a 337 in the first two rounds, but they followed that up with a 333 on the final round.
