SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – The men's and women's golf teams competed at the Dan Salisbury Memorial Golf Tournament on Sunday and Monday (Oct. 4 and Oct. 5). Both teams finished 9th out of ten schools as
Nick Messinger led the men, and
Hannah Maguire paced QU on the women's side.
Messinger tied for 24th with a two-round score of 159. The senior from Alton, Illinois shot an 80 in round one and a 79 in round two.
Hannah Maguire shot the best two rounds for the Hawks with back-to-back scores of 85 for a total score of 170 and a tie for 31st.
Lindenwood University won the women's event by edging UMSL by one stroke with a final team score of 633. LU's McKenna Montogomery had the best individual score with a 147.
Illinois Wesleyan won the men's event with a final team score of 594. Illinois-Springfield's Sebastian Trujillo took home the top individual score with a 143.
