CASEYVILLE, Ill. – The Quincy University men's and women's golf team's competed in their final event of the fall on Monday and Tuesday (Oct. 19 & 20). Both teams finished in 8th place at the McKendree Bearcat Dual Gender Invitational held at Far Oaks Country Club.
T.J. Wensing led the men for QU with a top-20 finish after scores of 73, 76, and 74.
Hannah Maguire paced the women after back-to-back 80's and an 83 in the final round which was good for 25th.
Missouri-St. Louis won the men's event with a final team score of 848, and Lindenwood won the women's side with a team score of 906.
UMSL's Joel Sylven turned in the lowest men's three-round score of 209 which was seven-under par, and Lindenwood's McKenna Montgomery held off Maryville's Carmen Villaverde by one stroke to win the women's event.
