EUREKA, Mo. – The Quincy University men's golf team headed down to the St. Louis Area on Monday and Tuesday (Oct. 12 & 13) for the UMSL Midwest Regional at Fox Run Golf Club.
T.J. Wensing paced QU's field with a three-round score of 244, and the Hawks finished in a tie for 15th.
Quincy finished with a final team score of 995 over three rounds of golf. Indianapolis won the event with a final team tally of 899. UIndy's Oliver Mast took the top spot on the leader board with an even 216.
T.J. Wensing shot a 244 after a first round 77, round two score of 89, and finished the week on high-note with a 78 in the final round. This was good enough for 56th out of 90 golfers.
Nathan Hoebing was the next QU golfer found on the leader board after turning in a 248. He was also tied with teammate,
Patrick Ringwald, who also finished with a 248.
Nick Messinger and
Parker Toney rounded out the field for the Hawks with a 255 and a 262 respectively.
The golf program will finish off its fall season on October 19th and 20th at the McKendree Bearcat Invitational.
