1st Half

The Hawks struck first in the 6
th minute.
Mary Maloney collected the ball at the top of the box after beautiful passing from
Riley Hayes and
Lexi Porchia. The junior midfielder turned and beat SBU goalkeeper Ashlyn Gibbs to give QU a 1-0 lead.
Both teams combined for 12 shots in the next 30 minutes but none found the back of the net.
Grace Hilbing came on for the Hawks and made her presence known less than 10 minutes in. After Gibbs saved a shot from
Lauren Crane, Hilbing controlled the rebound and nailed one into the bottom right corner. QU led 2-0.
The Bearcats tested QU goalkeeper
Emilee Autry in the 40

Quincy's two-goal lead stood going into halftime.
