Box Score QUINCY, Ill. - The Quincy University men's volleyball team defeated Trinity Christian Saturday afternoon (Mar. 17).  The Hawks won the match in four sets with scores of 25-21, 26-28, 25-16, 25-13.  After two tough sets, the Hawks were in complete control in sets three and four.  

Play by Play:

In the opening set, the Hawks and Trolls were pretty evenly matched.  The score set tied at 18-18.  The Hawks used a 5-0 run to grab a 23-18 lead.  This was all the cushion that the Hawks would need as Jacob Sheets finished off the set with a kill and the Hawks took the opening set 25-21. 

The second set saw the Trinity Christian Trolls tie the match at one set apiece.  The Hawks held a 20-16 lead late in the second set but the Trolls were able to answer.  The Trolls were able to come from behind to take the second set 28-26.  

It was all QU for the remainder of the match.  In the third set, the score sat tied at 4-4 before the Hawks took control.  QU finished the third set on a 21-12 run to take a 2-1 lead in the match.  

The Hawks used the momentum of the third set and rolled in the fourth.  QU opened the set on a 13-3 run.  The Hawks remained in complete control and took the fourth set 25-13.
