REGULAR SEASON FINALE: The Quincy University men's volleyball team will play its final match of the regular season tonight when it plays host to Lindenwood at Pepsi Arena. The Hawks and Lions squared off on Feb. 13 and Lindenwood came out with a 23-25, 25-16, 22-25, 25-22, 15-11 win in St. Charles, Mo.

WHAT'S ON THE LINE?: Tonight's match is not without drama as the final four seeds in next week's MIVA Tournament are all up for grabs with teams in the 5-8 spots separated by just 1.5 matches in the standings (see Page 2).

MIVA SCENARIOS: With a win over Lindenwood tonight, the Hawks could move as high as fifth in the MIVA standings. If four teams finish the season with a 6-10 conference record, the Hawks would claim the tiebreaker if they beat the Lions in three or four sets. If in five, the tiebreaker comes down to total points won between the teams in their two matches. If three teams are tied at 6-10, the Hawks would be the No. 6 seed if they beat Lindenwood in three or four games. If in five, the tiebreak would again come down to total points won.

OHIO CONNECTION: A pair of sophomores and Hilliard (Ohio) High School teammates have developed quite a connection on the QU volleyball floor. Setter Thane Fanfulik and middle Jarrod Kelso have formed an excellent duo as Kelso leads the Hawks with 232 kills and ranks third in the MIVA (12th nationally) in hitting percentage at .376. Fanfulik ranks seveth in the conference in total assists (689).

THE ST. CHARLES SOUTHPAW: Quincy junior opposite Jack Gamache (St. Charles, Mo./Francis Howell Central) leads the Hawks in kills per set (2.40) and has posted a career-best .226 hitting percentage on the season. Gamache had a couple solid matches in last week's defeats to top 5 ranked Loyola and Lewis. He hit .342 and averaged 3.17 kills per set. The left-hander has at least seven kills in each of the last seven matches. For his career, Gamache has 845 kills and 97 service aces.

SENIOR NIGHT, PART II: The Hawks will celebrate the second half of their senior festivities prior to tonight's match. John Pranger and Andrew Cavanaugh were recognized last Saturday. Tonight, Brian Rogan, Tim Hill, Terry Veile and Charles Ka'ai'ai will be honored. Those six will play in their final match at Pepsi Arena.
