WEEKLY LOOK-AHEAD:  The Lady Hawks (5-6, 0-3 GLVC) travel to Springfield, Ill. to play the University of Illinois Springfield (4-6, 0-2 GLVC) on Thursday, before traveling to Lebanon, Ill. to face McKendree University (1-9, 0-2 GLVC) on Saturday.  The Lady Hawks are 0-4 on the road this season.

Illinois Springfield is on a four-game losing skid.  The Prairie Stars are 3-1 at home this season.  UIS is led by Courtney Knuckles who averages 10.2 points per game.  The Prairie Stars are averaging 62 points per contest.  Syerra Cunningham has brought down eight rebounds per game this season as UIS has grabbed 42.5 rebounds per game.  The Lady Hawks have an all-time record of 15-1 against UIS.

McKendree has also dropped four in a row.  Their lone win came against Central Christian College at home.  McK averages 63.5 points per game with three scorers in double-figures.  Jameeka Bouie leads the Bearcats with 13 points per game.  Gabrielle Williams averages 11.4 points per game with a team leading 6.9 rebounds per game.  McK averages 37.6 rebounds per game.  Caty Ponce also scores 11.2 points per game for the Bearcats.  QU has an all-time record of 18-3 against McKendree.

LAST LOOK AT LAST GAMES:  The Lady Hawks started the new year with two tough games against No. 2 Lewis and UW-Parkside.  Lewis topped QU 88-72 on Friday followed by a heartbreaking loss to UW-Parkside, 55-54, on Sunday.  The Lady Hawks led heading to halftime in both games.

Erin Mennemeyer notched her first career double-double against Lewis with 10 points and 10 rebounds on Friday.  Carly Bettencourt led the scoring with 19 points.

Tori Kuhn scored 14 points and gathered eight rebounds to lead the Lady Hawks in both categories against UW-Parkside.  The Rangers scored two late layups to steal away victory.

HOT SHOOTING: The Lady Hawks are perched atop the GLVC rankings in team field goal percentage knocking down 46.3% from the field.  QU ranks 12th in NCAA Division II.  The Lady Hawks translate their shooting into 75.5 points per game.  They ranked fourth in the GLVC and 49th in NCAA Division II scoring offense.  The Lady Hawks are fifth in the GLVC in point differential with a +12.5.  This also ranks them 41st in NCAA Division II point differential.

RAINING THREES: QU is averaging eight three-point field goals per game this season.  They are also shooting 39.6% from behind the arc.  Both totals rank first in the GLVC.  The Lady Hawks are tied for 15th in three-point field goals made per game, and 9th in three-point field goal percentage in NCAA Division II rankings.

BALL SECURITY: The Lady Hawks have had success with assists and low turnovers this season.  QU ranks second in the GLVC and 15th in NCAA Division II with 17.2 assists per game.  Their turnover margin of +4.09 is third in the GLVC and 40th in NCAA Division II.  The Lady Hawks have a 1.15 assist-to-turnover ratio ranking third in the GLVC and 16th in NCAA Division II.  Carly Bettencourt has a 1.9 assist-to-turnover ratio ranking third in the GLVC and 47th in NCAA Division II.  Maggie Cunningham ranks sixth in the GLVC with a 1.4 assist-to-turnover ratio.

HAWK VISION FROM THE POINT: Carly Bettencourt and Maggie Cunningham rank in the top five in the GLVC for assists per game.  Carly Bettencourt averages 4.5 assists per game placing her third in the GLVC and tied for 49th in NCAA Division II.  Maggie Cunningham averages 3.9 assists per game to place her in a tie for fifth in the GLVC.

TWO FROM THREE: Carly Bettencourt and Nikia Edom are the main three-point threats for the Lady Hawks.  Both Bettencourt and Edom are knocking down 50% from downtown.  Bettencourt and Edom are tied for third in the GLVC, and Bettencourt is tied for sixth in NCAA Division II.  Bettencourt averages two three-pointers per game ranking tied for 10th in the GLVC.  

SENIOR LEADERSHIP: Carly Bettencourt is leading the Lady Hawks in scoring, field goal percentage, three-point field goal percentage, three-point field goals made, assists, steals, free-throw percentage, and assist-to-turnover ratio.  The El Dorado Hills, Calif. native is averaging 10.5 points per game while shooting 55.8% from the field.  She hits an average of two three-pointers per game while firing 50% from beyond the arc.  The senior point guard averages 4.5 assists and a 1.9 assist-to-turnover ratio.  She averages 1.5 steals per game and is shooting 88.9% from the charity stripe.

HITTING THE MARK: Carly Bettencourt and Nikia Edom lead the team in field goal percentage this season.  Bettencourt is scoring 10.5 points per game while shooting 55.8% from the field.  She ranks tied for 29th in scoring in the GLVC and fifth in the league in field goal percentage.  Nikia Edom is right behind her teammate shooting 55.1% from the floor.  Edom ranks sixth in the GLVC for field goal percentage.

FRESHMAN ON FIRE:  Freshman Anika Webster has hit the ground running with her new team.  Webster is fourth on the team in scoring with 7.9 points per game.  She is second in rebounds for the Lady Hawks with 5.5 boards per game.  The Springfield, Ill. native leads the team with 24 offensive rebounds this season.  Webster is shooting 40.2% from the field and has knocked down 18 of 25 from the charity stripe this season.  She averages 20.5 minutes per game off the bench and is second on the team with 14 steals.  Webster made her first career start last weekend against No. 2 Lewis.  Webster recorded her first career double-double against Robert Morris University-Springfield (Dec. 20, 2014) with 10 points and 12 rebounds.  The freshman has scored in double-figures seven times this season.

SUPERIOR POST PLAY: Tori Kuhn and Erin Mennemeyer have started the new year with a strong presence down low for the Lady Hawks.  Mennemeyer recorded her first career double-double against No. 2 Lewis with 10 points and 10 boards.  She followed her performance with 11 points against UW-Parkside on Sunday.  Kuhn was just two rebounds shy of a double-double against UW-Parkside with 14 points and eight rebounds.  Kuhn seven points with four rebounds against Lewis on Friday.
