QUINCY GAME NOTES | MISSOURI S&T GAME NOTES 

WEEKLY LOOK-AHEAD:  The Lady Hawks (11-6, 6-3 GLVC) travel to Missouri S&T (4-13, 0-9 GLVC) on Thursday, before heading to No. 21 Drury University (14-3, 8-1 GLVC) on Saturday.  The Lady Hawks are 3-4 on the road, but won their last three road contests.

The Miners are 4-6 at home this season and are currently on an eight-game losing skid.  The Miners are scoring 60.88 points per game.  Janie Arand leads the team with 8.1 points per game.  Jamy Douvier leads the team with 5.2 rebounds per game.  The Miners grab 35.7 boards per contest.  The Miners lead the GLVC shooting 38.5% from three this season.  Janie Arand has hit 25 threes to lead the team shooting 44.6% from downtown this season.

No. 21 Drury is 5-1 at home this season and they have won the last two games after falling at William Jewell.  The Lady Panthers are scoring 77.7 points per game.  Annie Armstrong leads the team with 15.1 points per game.  Armstrong is 48.5% from three this season with 32 made threes this season.  Sanayika Shields scores 12 points per game for the Lady Panthers.  Drury averages 38.2 rebounds per game.

LAST LOOK AT LAST GAMES:  The Lady Hawks stretched their longest winning streak of the season to six games with a pair of wins at home against Rockhurst University and William Jewell College last weekend.  

Carly Beebe and Anika Webster led the Lady Hawks with 11 points a piece against Rockhurst on Thursday.  QU won the game 71-59.

Anika Webster and Erin Mennemeyer tied for the team lead in scoring on Saturday with 15 points each.  Maggie Cunningham scored nine points in the second half including the game-winning shot with just seconds left to lift the Lady Hawks over William Jewell 78-76.  

SIX IN A ROW: The Lady Hawks have put together a streak of six-straight wins over the past three weeks.  QU picked up their first three road wins of the season and jumped from fourth place to second in the GLVC West Division.  The Lady Hawks topped Illinois Springfield (57-48) and McKendree (63-47) on the road three weeks ago before downing Maryville (70-63) on the road and Missouri-St. Louis (80-73) at home.  The Lady Hawks downed Rockhurst (71-59) and stunned William Jewell (78-76) with a game-winning jumper in the final seconds to win last week.

RECENT ROAD SUCCESS: The Lady Hawks started the season 0-4 on the road, but 2015 has been a good year for the Lady Hawks away from the nest.  QU has won their last three road games to improve their road record to 3-4.

SURE SHOTS: Nikia Edom and Carly Bettencourt have been firing on all cylinders from the field this season.  Edom is shooting 50.9% from the field and hitting 47.4% from three-point range.  Edom ranks 10th in field goal percentage and fourth in three-point field goal percentage in the GLVC.  Bettencourt is knocking down 51.2% of her shots from the field ranking eighth in the GLVC.  The senior guard is shooting 47.3% from three ranking fifth in the GLVC and ninth in NCAA Division II.

TOPS IN SCORING: The Lady Hawks rank in the top five in the GLVC for both scoring offense and scoring defense.  QU has scored 73.5 points per game this season ranking third in the GLVC.  The Lady Hawks allow 62.4 points per game to opponents ranking fourth in the GLVC.  QU's point differential of 11.2 is fourth in the GLVC and 39th in NCAA Division II.

FIRST COME-FROM-BEHIND WIN: The Lady Hawks won their first game this season when trailing at halftime and with five minutes remaining.  QU won on a mid-range jumper by Maggie Cunningham in the final second of the William Jewell College game.  QU came away with a 78-76 win to extend their winning streak to six games.

MENNEMEYER STEPS UP: With Tori Kuhn out the past four games, Erin Mennemeyer has filled in with a career-high performance.  Mennemeyer scored a career-high 15 points against William Jewell to help the Lady Hawks to a 78-76 win.  The previous week, Mennemeyer scored a, then career-high, 13 points against Maryville and followed with 12 points against Missouri-St. Louis.  Mennemeyer also grabbed a combined 17 rebounds in those two games.  Mennemeyer dominated defensively against UMSL with six blocks on Saturday.  Three of those blocks came in the final five minutes of the game.

LOSE THE TIP; WIN THE GAME: An interesting occurence this season is the Lady Hawks' record when losing the opening tip-off.  QU is 8-3 when they do not gain possession to start the game. 

DOUBLE THE ASSISTS: Carly Bettencourt and Maggie Cunningham lead the Lady Hawks in assists and rank fourth and fifth in the GLVC respectively.  QU averages 16.5 assists per game ranking second in the GLVC.  Bettencourt 4.0 assists per game and Cunningham averages 3.9 assists per game.

BALL SECURITY: The Lady Hawks rank third in turnover margin at +2.65 in the GLVC.  QU has a 1.10 assist-to-turnover ratio ranking third in the GLVC and 22nd in NCAA Division II.  Carly Bettencourt has a 1.79 assist-to-turnover ratio ranking third in the GLVC and tied for 44th in NCAA Division II.  Maggie Cunningham ranks eighth in the GLVC with a 1.55 assist-to-turnover ratio.

SHARP-SHOOTING: The Lady Hawks are hitting 45.3% from the field ranking second in the GLVC and 21st in NCAA Division II.  QU is also shooting 38.1% from three-point range ranking second in the league and 12th in the nation.  The Lady Hawks make 7.6 three-pointers per game ranking second in the GLVC and 19th in NCAA Division II.
