WEEKLY LOOK-AHEAD:  The Lady Hawks (9-6, 4-3 GLVC) welcome Rockhurst University (8-7, 2-5 GLVC) to Pepsi Arena on Thursday, before welcoming William Jewell College (10-5, 5-2 GLVC) to Pepsi Arena on Saturday.  The Lady Hawks are 6-2 at home.

Rockhurst is 0-4 on the road this season with losses to Bellarmine and Southern Indiana.  Mary Dineen leads the visiting Hawks with 14.7 points per game while hitting 31 three-pointers.  Lauren Meyers averages 13.5 points per game with a team-high 5.3 rebounds per game.  RU scores 65.2 points per game while allowing opponents to score 62.5 points per game.  

William Jewell is 4-3 on the road this season and is carrying a four-game winning streak into the weekend.  Aerial Smith is scoring a team-high 12.3 points per game with 4.6 assists and 5.9 rebounds per contest.  Maddie Nelson averages 11.9 points per game and Hayli Jo Smith scores 10.5 points per game with 39 threes.  Makenzie Johnson leads the Cardinals with 6.1 rebounds per game.  The Cardinals score 70.7 points per game averaging 3.4 points more than opponents.  Opponents average 1.1 more rebounds per game than the Cardinals.

LAST LOOK AT LAST GAMES:  The Lady Hawks lengthened their winning streak to four games last weekend with wins at Maryville and at home against Missouri-St. Louis.

Erin Mennemeyer put together a complete weekend scoring a career-high 13 points with eight rebounds on Thursday followed by 12 points, nine rebounds, and six blocks on Saturday.  

Maggie Cunningham scored the most points by a Lady Hawk this season when she turned in 23 points on Saturday.  Cunningham tied a school-record with 15 made free throws.  Cunningham also recorded five rebounds and dished out seven assists in the weekend win against UMSL.


FOUR IN A ROW: The Lady Hawks have put together a streak of four-straight wins over the past two weeks.  QU picked up their first three road wins of the season and jumped from seventh place to fourth in the GLVC West Division.  The Lady Hawks topped Illinois Springfield (57-48) and McKendree (63-47) on the road two weeks ago before downing Maryville (70-63) on the road and Missouri-St. Louis (80-73) at home last week.

HOME SWEET HOME: The Lady Hawks are 6-2 at home this season.  Their most recent win at home was last Saturday against Missouri-St. Louis (80-73).  The Lady Hawks' two home losses came against No. 1 Lewis (88-72) and UW-Parkside (55-54).

SURE SHOTS: Nikia Edom and Carly Bettencourt have been firing on all cylinders from the field this season.  Edom is shooting 55.4% from the field and hitting 50% from three-point range.  Edom ranks sixth in field goal percentage and second in three-point field goal percentage in the GLVC.  Bettencourt is knocking down 54.4% of her shots from the field ranking eighth in the GLVC.  The senior guard is shooting 49.2% from three ranking third in the GLVC and fifth in NCAA Division II.

TOPS IN SCORING: The Lady Hawks rank in the top five in the GLVC for both scoring offense and scoring defense.  QU has scored 73.4 points per game this season ranking fourth in the GLVC.  The Lady Hawks allow 61.7 points per game to opponents ranking third in the GLVC.  QU's point differential of 11.7 is fourth in the GLVC and 36th in NCAA Division II.

SCHOOL-RECORD FROM THE CHARITY STRIPE: Maggie Cunningham tied a school-record for most free-throws made in a game when she netted 15 from the line against Missouri-St. Louis last Saturday.  Cunningham now shares the record with Jessica Keller who set the mark against Southwest Baptist on Nov. 22, 2008.  The junior guard scored a season-high 23 points  with 18 of them coming in the second half.

MENNEMEYER STEPS UP: With Tori Kuhn out the past two games, Erin Mennemeyer has filled in with a career-high performance.  Mennemeyer scored a career-high 13 points against Maryville and followed with 12 points against Missouri-St. Louis.  Mennemeyer also grabbed a combined 17 rebounds in those two games.  Mennemeyer dominated defensively against UMSL with six blocks on Saturday.  Three of those blocks came in the final five minutes of the game.

LOSE THE TIP; WIN THE GAME: An interesting occurence this season is the Lady Hawks' record when losing the opening tip-off.  QU is 7-3 when they do not gain possession to start the game.  The Lady Hawks have been ahead at halftime and leading with five minutes remaining when they have won all nine of their games.  

DOUBLE THE ASSISTS: Carly Bettencourt and Maggie Cunningham lead the Lady Hawks in assists and rank fourth and fifth in the GLVC respectively.  QU averages 16.7 assists per game ranking second in the GLVC.  Bettencourt 4.2 assists per game and Cunningham averages 3.8 assists per game.

BALL SECURITY: The Lady Hawks rank third in turnover margin at +3.47 in the GLVC and 41st in NCAA Division II.  QU has a 1.11 assist-to-turnover ratio ranking third in the GLVC and 20th in NCAA Division II.  Carly Bettencourt has a 2.0 assist-to-turnover ratio ranking fourth in the GLVC and 32nd in NCAA Division II.  Maggie Cunningham ranks ninth in the GLVC with a 1.5 assist-to-turnover ratio.

SHARP-SHOOTING: The Lady Hawks are hitting 45.2% from the field ranking second in the GLVC and 21st in NCAA Division II.  QU is also shooting 38% from three-point range ranking second in the league and 17th in the nation.  The Lady Hawks make 7.5 three-pointers per game ranking second in the GLVC and 25th in NCAA Division II.
