Biography

2025 (Freshman): Poindexter Jr. appeared in two games during his freshman season with the Hawks, making an impact along the defensive line. He finished the year with five tackles, all assists, while adding 0.5 tackles for loss. Poindexter Jr. made his collegiate debut against Calumet (9/13/25), gaining his first collegiate experience with Quincy.

Personal: Marlon Poindexter Jr., from Alton, Illinois, is the son of Rausheeta Gates and the brother of Raushad. A standout at Alton High School, he earned Honorable Mention All-Conference honors as part of the Redbirds program. Outside of sports, Marlon enjoys watching football. His favorite athletes are James Harden and Ezekiel Elliott, and he is a big supporter of the Dallas Cowboys.
