Biography
2024 (Junior): As a junior, for the second straight season, he led the Hawks with 366 kills (4.41 per set, led MIVA) and 27 service aces for a total of 421.5 points. He was also second on the team with 104 digs (1.25 per set) and 40 total blocks (0.48 per set). He set a career-high with 33 kills against Maryville (3/8/24), where he hit 33-51 (.569).

2023 (Sophomore): In his second year with the Hawks, Rajé played in all 27 matches for a total of 93 sets. He led the team with 393 kills (4.23 per set, led MIVA) and 30 service aces, for a total of 460.5 points (4.95 per set). He was also third on the team with 96 digs and 55 total blocks. 2022 (Freshman): As a freshman, Rajé appeared in 16 matches for a total of 33 sets played, where he was fourth on the team with 92 kills. He also had 29 digs, 11 total blocks, two assists, and two service aces, for a total of 101 points.Â
Personal:Â Rajé Alleyne hails from Bridgetown, Barbados, and is a proud alumnus of Christ Church Foundation School, where he competed as a Beacon. He is the son of Kay Alleyne and Roger Alleyne and has two sisters, Gabrielle and Sakeirah.
During high school, Rajé distinguished himself as a student leader for three consecutive years and was consistently recognized as the top performer in his class. On the volleyball court, his impact was just as impressive. He helped lead his team to a third-place finish in his first championship appearance, followed by back-to-back gold medals and earned MVP honors in his final high school tournament.
In 2018 and 2019, his team claimed the High School Championship titles, cementing their dominance in local volleyball. His success didn’t stop there. At the collegiate level, Rajé made waves, earning First Team All-Conference honors in the MIVA, and ranking third in the nation for both kills per set and points per set. He also received national recognition as an Off the Block Player of the Night.
Outside of indoor volleyball, Rajé enjoys grass volleyball, bowling, and eating. He looks up to legendary athletes Michael Jordan and LeBron James and supports the USA and Poland Men’s National Volleyball Teams.
A proud representative of his home country, Rajé served as the vice-captain of the Barbados Junior National Team and brought home gold at the 2019 CAZOVA Championship. His leadership, athleticism, and dedication make him a standout both on the court and in the community.
