2026 (Freshman): Mirtchev appeared in one match and one set during his freshman season, making his collegiate debut against Kentucky State (2/21/26). Mirtchev recorded three kills on nine attempts with just one error in his debut, while also adding one assist, one service ace, and three digs.

Personal: Kaloyan Mirtchev is from Evanston, Illinois, and attended Evanston Township High School. He is the son of Luben Mirtchev and Katarina Jaksic and has a sibling, Jovana. During his senior year, Mirtchev earned Academic Honor Roll recognition while also being named All-State and All-Conference. Outside of athletics, he enjoys spending time with friends and playing basketball. His favorite athlete is Nikola Jokic, and he is a fan of the Chicago Bulls, Chicago Bears, and Chicago Cubs.
