2026 (Junior): Barkley appeared in 14 matches with three starts during his first season with the Hawks, totaling 26 sets played. He recorded 33 kills, 40.5 points, six assists, four service aces, 21 digs, and six total blocks while hitting .206 on the season.
Barkley made his Quincy debut against Lindenwood (1/21/26). His best all-around performance came against Kentucky State (2/21/26), where he finished with 8.5 points behind five kills, two service aces, four digs, and two blocks. He later recorded a season-high six kills against Maryville (3/21/26), adding three digs.
2025 (Sophomore at King): Barkley appeared in 18 matches and 65 sets during his second season with King, ranking second on the team with 178 kills and 200.0 points. He also added 11 assists, nine service aces, 85 digs, and 21 blocks.
Barkley recorded nine matches with at least 10 kills, including a season-high 20 in a win over Emmanuel (2/21/25). He also posted the first double-double of his career against Reinhardt (3/7/25), finishing with 14 kills and 10 digs.

2024 (Freshman at King): Barkley appeared in 16 matches and 35 sets during his freshman season at King, totaling 26 kills, seven assists, four service aces, 24 digs, four blocks, and 55.5 points.
Barkley made his collegiate debut against Penn State (1/13/24) and recorded his first career kill against Tusculum (1/18/24), finishing with 10 kills and a season-high six digs. His best offensive performance came against Talladega (3/16/24), where he recorded a season-high 16 kills on 22 attempts with just two errors, hitting .636.

Personal: Alex Barkley is from Mooresville, Indiana, and attended Roncalli High School, where he played for the Royals. He is the son of Nic and Mo Barkley and has a brother, Andrew. Barkley excelled both academically and athletically, earning National Honor Society recognition while competing in varsity men’s volleyball.
During his high school career, Barkley was a two-time Indiana State Champion, a two-time First Team All-State selection, and a two-time State All-Tournament Team honoree. He was named Co-MVP in 2023, earned AVCA Team recognition, and finished second in school history in career kills. At the club level, he was named a 2022 USAV All-Star and earned All-Tournament Team honors.
Barkley continued his career at King University from 2023–2025, where he earned three Delta Blues Player of the Week honors before transferring to Quincy University. Outside of athletics, he enjoys volleyball, working out, golfing, cooking, and hiking. His favorite athlete is Micah Ma?a, and he is a fan of the Indiana Hoosiers.
