Jake Acevedo

Jacob Acevedo begins his tenure as head coach of the Quincy University men's lacrosse team in 2025. Acevedo comes to the Hawks after a stellar reign at Carroll University. 

Acevedo spent three seasons at Carroll University in Waukesha, WI where he led the Pioneers to a program-best six wins in the 2024 season, also breaking 24 team records and became the winningest coach in program history. 

Prior to his time at Carroll, Acevedo spent three seasons at Huntingdon College in Montgomery, Ala., where he moved from an assistant, to associate head coach, to head coach in his three seasons. During his time on the coaching staff, the Hawks won back-to-back CCS conference championships in 2018 and 2019, racking up a 34-16 overall record including a 16-3 record for the 2018 NCAA Tournament qualifying squad. 

Acevedo was a member of the inaugural Elmhurst University men's lacrosse team in 2012, playing all four seasons for the Blue Jays before earning his bachelors degree in exercise science and fitness management from Concordia University-Chicago in May of 2017.
