Biography

2025 (Sophomore at Spoon River CC): In his second season with the Snappers, Crum appeared in 53 games, recording eight doubles, one triple, and three home runs while driving in 43 runs. He posted a .345/.449/.456 slash line, drew 29 walks against just 23 strikeouts, was hit by a pitch four times, and stole one base.

2024 (Freshman at Spoon River CC): As a freshman, Crum appeared in 56 games and totaled 157 at-bats, producing a .344/.482/.465 slash line. He recorded nine doubles, two triples, and two home runs while driving in 57 runs, drawing 35 walks against 28 strikeouts and scoring 29 runs. He made his collegiate debut against Arkansas State Mid-South (2/11/24), where he recorded his first career hit, RBI, and walk. Crum posted a season-long eight-game hitting streak and added three separate streaks of six or more games. He registered 12 games with multiple RBIs and 14 multi-hit performances. His first career home run came in his second collegiate game against Lake Area Academy (2/18/24), going 3-for-3 with a walk, a double, a home run, and five RBIs.

Personal: Ryne Crum is from Springfield, Illinois, and attended Springfield High School, where he played for the Senators. He spent two seasons at Spoon River Community College before transferring to QU. He is the son of Joby and Kim Crum and has two siblings, Joseph and Brooklyn.

Crum excelled both academically and athletically, earning the Robert Furry Award for History and Citizenship and being named NJCAA All-Academic First Team in 2024 and 2025 with a perfect 4.0 GPA. At Springfield High School, he was a 2021 Class 3A State Champion and earned CS8 Second Team All-Conference honors in 2021 before being named First Team All-Conference in both 2022 and 2023. He also holds the school’s career batting average record at .428.

At Spoon River, Crum continued his offensive success, setting the program’s single-season RBI record with 57 as a freshman and finishing his career with 100 RBIs. Outside of baseball, he enjoys building Legos and playing video games. His favorite athlete is Adam Wainwright, and he is a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals.
