Personal: Keegan Farnaus is from Joliet, Illinois, and attended Joliet Catholic Academy, where he played for the Hilltoppers. He is the son of Ron and Annie Farnaus and has a sister, Addi, along with a dog, Maddon. Farnaus excelled in the classroom, earning High Honor Roll distinction while also being a member of the National Honor Society, National English Honor Society, and Mu Alpha Theta.

A two-sport varsity athlete in baseball and football, Farnaus was part of back-to-back IHSA 5A State Runner-Up football teams in 2023 and 2024. During his junior year, he earned Pigskin Athlete of the Week and Southtown Sports Offensive Player of the Week honors, was named to the Perfect Game All-Tournament Team, earned Prep Baseball Illinois Preseason All-State recognition, and helped his team to a WJOL Baseball Championship. As a senior, he helped lead his team to another IHSA State Runner-Up finish in football and was part of a Great American Rivalry Series Football Championship team while also earning ESCC All-Conference honors in baseball.

Outside of baseball, Farnaus enjoys golfing, bowling, and playing video games. His favorite athletes include Dale Earnhardt, Bryce Harper, Tiger Woods, and Nico Hoerner. He is a fan of the Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bears, and Chicago Blackhawks.
