INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Great Lakes Valley Conference opened its academic awards week with the announcement of the Team Academic All-GLVC honorees, and Quincy University set a new department standard with 16 programs earning recognition for their work in the classroom.
The Team Academic All-GLVC award recognizes teams from full-time and associate member institutions that maintain at least a 3.30 grade point average for the academic year.
Quincy's 16 honored programs marked the highest total in department history, surpassing the previous record of 12 teams set last year. It also marked the third time in the last four academic years that the Hawks have had at least 10 programs earn Team Academic All-GLVC recognition.
The Hawks were represented by 11 women's programs and five men's programs, with Softball leading all Quincy teams with a 3.69 team GPA. Women's Lacrosse followed closely with a 3.62, while Women's Tennis, Women's Cross Country, Women's Swimming, Women's Soccer, Men's Swimming, Women's Basketball, Women's Volleyball, Men's Soccer, Women's Track & Field, STUNT, Women's Golf, Baseball, Men's Tennis, and Men's Lacrosse all earned Team Academic All-GLVC honors.
The recognition begins what is expected to be another strong academic awards week for Quincy University, as the Hawks continue to showcase success both in competition and in the classroom.
