QUINCY, Ill. – The Quincy University women's tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision to Michigan Tech on Sunday morning at the Quincy Racquet Club.
The Huskies opened the match by sweeping all three doubles courts to claim the early 1-0 advantage.
Quincy answered at the top of the singles lineup with an impressive performance from
Mahi Panchal. After winning the opening set, Panchal battled through a decisive third-set tiebreak to secure a 6-2, 2-6, 11-9 victory at No. 1 singles for the Hawks' lone point.
Michigan Tech earned straight-set wins at Nos. 2, 3, 4, and 6 singles, while the No. 5 match went the distance before the Huskies prevailed in a third-set tiebreak to seal the team victory.
The Hawks will be back in action on Sunday, February 22, when they travel to Crystal Lake, Illinois to take on Judson University.
