QUINCY, Ill. – The Quincy University women's tennis team fell 4-0 to Missouri–St. Louis on Friday afternoon at the Quincy Racquet Club.
The Tritons claimed the doubles point by sweeping all three courts. UMSL earned wins at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles by identical 6-3 scores and secured the point with a 7-5 decision at No. 2.
In singles play, Quincy pushed back early at the top spot as
Mahi Panchal forced a decisive third-set tiebreak after taking the opening set, but UMSL's Hannah Tse prevailed 3-6, 6-1, 12-10 to secure the match-clinching point. The Tritons also collected straight-set victories at No. 2 and No. 3 singles to complete the sweep.
Matches at Nos. 4, 5, and 6 singles were left unfinished as the Tritons clinched the result.
Quincy moves to 4-2 on the season and will look to rebound Sunday when the Hawks host Michigan Tech. First serve is scheduled for 10:00 AM at the Quincy Racquet Club.
