INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Quincy University outside hitter Susanna Beretti has been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Offensive Player of the Week for the first time in her career after fueling the Hawks' perfect start to league play.
Beretti was nearly unstoppable across two matches, totaling 42 kills (6.0 per set), 31 digs (4.4 per set), two service aces, and eight assists across seven sets, finishing with 44 points (6.3 per set). Her standout performance came in Friday's 3-1 win over Indianapolis, where she posted a career-high 29 kills. She followed that up by leading the Hawks to a dominant 3-0 sweep of Lewis on Saturday.
The recognition marks Beretti's first career GLVC weekly honor as she continues to pace Quincy's offensive attack.
The Hawks (11-2, 2-0 GLVC) return to the court this Friday when they travel to McKendree University. First serve is set for 6:00 PM from the Melvin Price Convocation Center in Lebanon, Illinois.
