INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Quincy University's Elena Kasavica has been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Setter of the Week for the fourth time in her career after guiding the Hawks to a 2-0 start in league play.
Kasavica was instrumental in Quincy's weekend sweep, totaling 87 assists across seven sets (12.4 per set), while also contributing 40 digs (5.7 per set), three kills, and three service aces. She turned in her best performance of the year against Indianapolis, notching a season-high 51 assists alongside a career-best 28 digs in the 3-1 win. She followed that up by directing the Hawks to a 3-0 sweep of Lewis.
With the honor, Kasavica adds to her growing career total after previously winning GLVC Setter of the Week on September 16, October 28, and November 11 of 2024.
The Hawks (11-2, 2-0 GLVC) return to action this Friday when they travel to McKendree University. First serve is scheduled for 6:00 PM from the Melvin Price Convocation Center in Lebanon, Illinois.
