Box Score QUINCY, Ill. - The Hawks kept the good times rolling on Saturday (Mar. 1), taking down the Storm of Simpson College by a 7-0 team score, coming away victorious across all matches, dropping only six games total as a team for the squad's fourth straight win.
Inigo Villacampa and
Joseph Restrepo got QU off on the right foot with a 6-0 doubles victory over the SC pairing of Javier Robles and Grant Love, while
Gianni Lopez and Rodrigo Coello Treveno dished out a 6-0 defeat to the Storm's duo of Drake Downord and Blane Wallace to claim the doubles point. For good measure,
Gerard Abad Puig and
Pablo Mateos Niella added another perfect 6-0 victory in their No. 3 doubles match against Darek Kayser and Seth Orta of Simpson.Â
Villacampa had a dominant showing in his No. 1 singles match, dispatching Robles in straight sets without dropping a single game in a 6-0, 6-0 winner. Restrepo kept the momentum on Quincy's side with a 6-0, 6-1 defeat of Love in No. 2 singles, while Lopez dropped his opponent in 6-1, 6-0 fashion at No. 3.
Abad Puig got the job done over the Simpson offering at No. 4, taking down Kayser by a 6-2, 6-0 score. Coello Treveno added a 6-1, 6-1 winner over Orta in the No. 5 singles match and
Marko Cucuk had a fine showing in his No. 6 singles match, handing Wallace a 6-0, 6-0 defeat.Â
