QUINCY, Ill. – Freshman goalkeeper
Devin Tracy collected her fifth shutout of the season as Quincy earned a 2-0 victory over Truman State on Friday evening at Jack Mackenzie Field.
The Hawks set the tone with a balanced attack, breaking through in the 33rd minute when freshman
Abbie Martin netted her first collegiate goal off an assist from
Emma Tell. In the second half,
Ella Wolfard extended the lead with a strike in the 57th minute, giving the Hawks a comfortable advantage.
Quincy controlled the pace for much of the match, dictating tempo in the midfield and keeping pressure on the Bulldogs. With multiple players sidelined due to injury, the Hawks leaned heavily on their depth, and the bench delivered with strong minutes to help secure the win.
It was a true team effort on both ends of the field, capped by another steady performance from Tracy in goal, who continues to impress in her first collegiate season.
The Hawks (5-1-2, 4-0-1 GLVC) continue their Homecoming Weekend action on Sunday, October 5th, at noon when they host William Jewell.
