GLVC Releases 2026 Women’s Bowling Preseason Poll

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) announced its 2026 women's bowling preseason coaches' poll on Thursday, with Quincy University landing in the eighth spot as the Hawks prepare for a promising season of growth.

Maryville was tabbed as the league favorite, earning seven first-place votes and 49 points, followed by McKendree, Oklahoma Christian, and Newman. Central Missouri, Lewis, and Indianapolis rounded out the fifth through seventh positions ahead of Quincy.

While the Hawks were picked eighth, the team has already shown early signs of improvement and potential. Quincy opened its 2025–26 campaign at the Warhawk Classic in Rockford, Illinois, where the Hawks picked up multiple ranked victories, including the program's highest-ranked win in history over #13 Wisconsin-Whitewater.

Quincy returns key contributors in Hayden Bennett and Hannah Herdklotz, both of whom bring valuable experience and consistency to the lanes. The Hawks also welcomed a strong freshman class highlighted by Fernanda Garcia, who wasted no time making an impact. Garcia led the team at the Warhawk Classic with a 178.2 average across the weekend.

The Hawks will look to continue building momentum as the season unfolds under head coach Kyle Egan. With a mix of proven veterans and fresh talent, Quincy is focused on steady development and competing within a highly competitive GLVC field.

Quincy will be back in action October 18–19 when the Hawks travel to Wichita, Kansas, for the Mid-States Championships.
