TOWN AND COUNTRY, Mo. - The Hawks made the trip down to the St. Louis area for a neutral site contest on Saturday (Mar. 2) to take on the Fighting Knights of Lynn at host site, Maryville. An explosive seven-goal first quarter for LU put the Hawks in a hole they couldn't climb out of as Lynn came away victorious 16-5.
The Fighting Knights netted the first two scores of the game until a shot from
Christian Czarny found nothing but nylon to put QU on the board a little under three minutes into the match on a feed from
Blaine Lowrance. LU tacked on five more to close out the first 15 minutes of play.
Following a few more Lynn scores in the second,
Blaine Lowrance fired home the Hawks second goal on a dish from
Caleb Hensley to round out the scoring in the first half.
LU tallied the first goal of the second half before
Caidyn Prediger made three house calls, burying a hat-trick of goals in less than three minutes. The first on another assist from Lowrance, the second assisted by
Jordan Ernst and the third on a feed from
Mason Marano to make it 11-5 and close out the scoring effort for the Hawks.
Lynn added a pair of goals at the end of the third and three more in the fourth to hand Quincy a 16-5 loss.
