St. Charles, Mo. - The Quincy University Hawks women's wrestling team faced a competitive lineup at the Lindenwood Duals, showcasing resilience and strong individual performances throughout the event. Despite encountering tough opposition, Quincy was able to come away at 3-3 on the day.Â
The Hawks secured wins in three of their six duals, defeating William Woods (43-12), Simpson B (42-13), and Missouri Valley B (36-21). While they fell short against McKendree (42-9), Lindenwood (33-18), and Simpson (48-10), the team demonstrated determination and growth, with standout performances across weight classes.

Mackenzie Graves (103 lbs): A dominant force throughout the day, Graves went undefeated, notching victories by fall against opponents from William Woods, Lindenwood, and Simpson, and securing two wins via forfeit. Her fall against Lindenwood's Megan Valdez in just 1:23 was a highlight.

Sereena Baca (110 lbs): Baca recorded multiple wins, including a tech fall against William Woods' Sophia McLain (10-0) and a hard-fought 6-5 decision over Simpson's Layla Phillips. Her only blemish of the day came in a 7-4 decision loss to the #19 wrestler in the country in 110 lbs, Kate Cooper of Lindenwood.Â
- #18 Madeline Barton (138 lbs): Barton contributed significantly to Quincy's success, with four victories including notable wins by fall against opponents from William Woods, Simpson B, and Missouri Valley B as well as a tech fall against Simpson B. Only loss came to #11 Viktorya Torres of McKendree in a 6-4 decision.Â
