Liberty, Mo. - The Quincy University swim program traveled to Liberty, Missouri, for their final regular-season meet of the season. After some travel mishaps, the Hawks had a tough go against the William Jewell Cardinals, the women falling 210-44 and the men falling 199-63.
The women's best result came from the 200 freestyle relay of
Nancy Olson,
Izabella Sparrow,
Ariaa Sheth, and
Megan Schill, tapping in at 1:56.43 and finishing second. Sheth also had a few third place finishes, including the 100 butterfly (1:10.57) and the 800 freestyle (10:04.09).
Faith Cummings finished third in the 100 breaststroke (1:19.68) and
Elisa Armentia Moliner finished third in the 200 backstroke at 2:37.19.Â
Wyatt Walsh had the only first-place finish for the Hawks in the 200 IM (2:10.09).  The 200 medley placed second with a 1:46.58 time, comprised of
Jeronimo Augurusa Franco,
Andrej Golubovic,
Borna Kisasondi, and
Santiago Leiva. Franco Augurusa also had second place finishes in the 100 backstroke at 1:01.55 and the 200 backstroke at 2:15.58.
Andres Santana finsihed second in the 100 breaststroke at 1:07.28 and Walsh finished the 200 meter version in second place as well (2:25.58).Â
The Hawks look to taking the next two weeks to hone their in on their races and compete hard at the Great Lakes Valley Conference Championships in Evansville, Indiana, February 6th-10th.Â
